
This recipe is a MUST for every summer. It is fruity and has all the protein/ carbohydrates needed to start your day and keep you going throughout your day. This bowl features strawberries, bananas, almond milk, and açaí powder as the base, with some delicious toppings for an added flavor complexity.
First, we start with the base. I personally prefer to use frozen fruit not only because it is easier to keep frozen fruit on hand than fresh fruit, but also because it blends a lot easier and you don’t need ice when you are using frozen fruit. I use 1 cup frozen strawberries, 1/2 cup frozen bananas, 1/2 cup almond milk, and 1 tbsp açaí powder and blend in a blender of choice, in my case I love to use my Nutri-Bullet just because it is much easier to clean than a full-size blender, and this recipe is portioned for one person.
Once everything is fully incorporated you are going to want to check the consistency – I prefer the thickest possible because they do melt quickly in the summer heat, but if you want it thicker add more fruit, if you want it thinner add more almond milk. Once you have your desired consistency, add the base into a bowl. (Psst – if you want the best pictures it looks better in a clear or decorative bowl)
Once you have your base in a bowl, you then add your toppings! Shown it is topped with vanilla almond granola, a small amount of chia seeds on top of the granola, sliced almonds, and peanut butter for added protein. I also add a small amount of cocoa powder to the top for some extra flavor.
The best part about fruit bowls is that you can add anything and make substitutes to them to make them your own. If you don’t like peanut butter you can do almond butter or any other nut butter you can think of. Also for the base if you are not a fan of almond milk you can use oat milk, or regular milk if that’s what you want. Every item in a fruit bowl can be changed.

Steps
